Mark Valentino

Commercial Banking Expert

Mark Valentino is President and Head of Business Banking at Citizens. Under his leadership, the Business Banking team brings comprehensive advice and solutions to help small businesses operate at every stage of their journey. Mark recently rejoined Citizens in October 2023 after leading a privately owned healthcare provider in Southern California. During that time, including his role as CEO of LA Downtown Medical Center, he dedicated his energy and efforts to expanding mental health access to the underserved communities of greater Los Angeles. Prior to this, he held a number of leadership roles, serving as the Head of Nonprofit & Healthcare Banking, National Sales Manager and Head of Business Development in the Commercial Banking organization at Citizens. Active in the community, Mark engages in leadership advisory roles for various institutions, including the Roxbury Latin School, Boston Trinity Academy, and the LADMC Foundation, to name a few. His commitment to community involvement reflects his belief in the power of collaboration and collective efforts in fostering positive change. Mark graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. He furthered his education by completing MBA coursework at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, along with spending a year at the London School of Economics. In his leisure time, Mark finds fulfillment in exploring new destinations, engaging in snowboarding adventures, playing tennis and golf, and actively contributing as a coach in his children’s sporting pursuits.
